Now that you’ve decided on where, when, how many guests and who will be capturing the most special day of your life with photos, it is on to the next very important vendor.
With this there is some flexibility, dependent on how far in advance that you begin planning and what is included within your venue. For example, if you are going with a “bare bones” rustic barn or old warehouse in the city, they probably will not include catering, tables or chairs. This should be the next step as catering and the setup staff will be a HUGE portion of the budget. And let’s not forget that people in the South love great food! On the other hand, if you are opting for a museum or an upscale hotel venue such as Hotel Sorella, the catering, staffing, setup, tables and chairs will most likely be included. The next important vendor in line here would be the DJ or Band. Of course, people in the South love entertainment too.
Advice from Elle: “Ask prospective caterers for a tasting, even if there is a small fee. Also, ask your DJ if they have any videos or recordings from previous wedding that they have played at!”
